VELI BEJ BATHS
Although, you may not find Veli Bej Bath (Császár Bath) in the limelight when you search about thermal baths in the City of Baths. But, you know what? Hidden treasures at times have the most to offer. Same goes with what we are going to discuss here in details. Budapest is fully equipped with amazing, modern and gigantic bathhouses. To name a few, they are Szechenyi, Gellert and Rudas Baths. They are nearly always fully crowded. People find it hard to get a relaxing place for themselves. Veli Bej, on the other hand, does not accommodate a big number of audience. The limit is 80 people per session. Needless to say, this will be satisfyingly spacy and convenient for you.
Let’s shed some more light as we move on.
THE OLDEST THERMAL BATH OF BUDAPEST
Veli Bej Bath is said to be one of the oldest thermal baths of the city. Not only oldest, but people also term it as the most beautiful bath of the Ottoman times in the country. It dates back to the 16th century, to 1575 to be specific. Therefore, you may observe the architectural styles of Turks while soaking in. Being one of the earliest, some hesitate to visit as it seems outdated. But you should not take it that way. As a matter of fact, the bath complex was recently renovated in 2011 which made it a perfect blend of classical and modern facilities and outlook.
SERVICES AND FACILITIES
Likewise the other bath complexes in the Hungarian capital, you can have a lot to enjoy and relax here as well. There are four small pools with one big pool, all consist of pure thermal water. The temperature is somewhat 38 degree Celsius. These pools are lit up from the ground and sheltered by a gorgeous cupola from above. Moreover, Veli Bej Bath offers pleasing and rejuvenating Finish sauna and infra sauna. And when it comes to baths, you can take pleasure from the Kneipp, Steam and Pleasure Bath. Also, during your massages you can get rid of the fatigue and pain flowing in your body. Excited? You should be. After all there is a lot to cherish for.

LOCATION AND ENTRANCE FEES
As if you know, most of the thermal baths reside in the Buda side; therefore Veli Bej Bath is also located here in District II. Precisely, it is between the foothills and the Danube River nearer to Margaret Island and Bridge. Seems like a decent location!
You may be thinking about the fees now. Right? But it is not something to worry about. The reason is it is quite less than the others in the industry. It is just 2000 HUF.
SOME IMPORTANT POINTS TO NOTE
The Veli Bej Bath is only for adults. Therefore, bringing in children younger than 14 years will be of no use. Better note it.
It is open throughout the week. Isn’t it a good news? Yes, it is. The timings are from 6 am to 12 pm in the first session. Afterward, they take a 3-hours break and reopen at 3 pm and continue serving bathers till 9 pm.
