BVSC Swimming Complex

This is a swimming complex which was built mainly for the water polo teams and swimmers of the BVSC sports club. The complex is also opened to casual swimmers at sometimes. Before you visit the pool, you will need to check for availability and this is usually in the mornings and evenings. The complex features spacious changing rooms and showers and it also houses sauna and there is an electronic bracelet that will make it comfortable for you to get around the complex easily. This Swimming pool Budapest is equipped with hairdryers and you do not have to bring your own. You should also note that before you can swim in the pool, there is a need to wear swimming caps. The BVSC is a great spot to go at weekends because not many people are around.

Csaszar-Komjadi Swimming Pool

This pool is located on the Buda side and the 19th-century classicist Csaszar Baths were combined with Komjadi swimming complex in 1976 for this pool. The pool was renovated in 2017 and you can now visit it. It features modernized changing rooms, water supply system, hall, saunas, and ventilation. You should make sure that you check for availability before you head here because lots of professional sportsmen train and compete at this pool.

Aquaworld

This is a large indoor water park that is opened all year round. It is among the top Swimming pool Budapest destination that you can visit. The park houses 17 pools which include a wave pool. Swimming pool, surf pools, and 11 slides. The park also features a children area which features playhouses and pools. During the summer period, you are going to find additional indoor facilities which have a fully landscaped beach area that you can explore.

Csillaghegyi Swimming Complex

This complex houses a 33m long covered swimming pool which is open to the public any time of the year. Although the pool is quite small, it features four lanes but its water is rich in natural mineral and it is open all year round. You should also be careful when you dive in the pool as it deepens from 120 cm to 240cm. It is best not to even jump into the pool and if you are planning to, be extra careful. The complex also houses infra and Finnish saunas that you can try out with the same ticket.

Manyoki Uti Swimming Pool

This is a great spot to go if you are searching for a smaller alternative to large swimming complexes in the country. You can visit this complex in the morning and evening. This Swimming pool Budapest is usually closed during the day because of the sports lessons for students but you can enter before 8 am and after 6 pm. Although the pool is a bit outdated, it is nicely priced and it is a great spot where you can swim between 6 am and 8 pm every day of the week.

Dagály

This bath has a great history which dates back to the 1940s. The baths got its water supply from the same thermal spring as Szechenyi Baths since the 1970s. this, in turn, helps to elevate the status of the thermal bath. Dagaly Baths house ten pools which include two swimming pools, wave pool, thermal pool, and children’s pool.

Mom Sport

This is a great place where you can go for a few laps early in the morning or late in the evening. The pool opens and closes from 6 am to 10 pm. It features two big pools and you can buy a swimming ticket for two hours. You can swim in the outdoor pool without using a swimming cap. Once you buy a ticket, you will be given an electronic bracelet that will give you open access to the pool. You can also make use of their saunas, a pool with massage jets, and a steam cabin. You should check for availability before you head to this pool because the pool can get a bit busy sometimes.

Palatinus

This pool is among the oldest and most popular pools in Budapest and it opens all year round. Their pool is filled with lots of facilities such as the new spa area, the indoor section features a thermal pool with healing waters, saunas, children’s pool, and warm and cold plunge pools. You can also head to the outdoor thermal pool and the 40m long swimming pool. You can buy three hours’ ticket if you are feeling fit and this will give you the chance to enter twice. With this ticket, you can simply leave your stuff in the locker room, wander around the island and then come back for a swim and sauna.

Hajos Alfred National Swimming Complex

This is the first covered swimming pool in the country and it was built by Alfred Hajos which was the first Olympic champion in Hungary and an architect. This complex is mainly used by professional sportsmen, swimmers, and water polo players. The swimming complex also welcomes casual swimmers and it is best to check for availability before it gets crowded. You can also come here just to watch as divers spin in the air while jumping in the water. The complex features modernized changing rooms and showers and you can make use of the sauna with just a ticket. The outdoor complex was named after the popular swimming coach Szechy Tamas.
